The story behind the ride
My name is Frank Samateh. As you can tell from my name, it's not entirely Dutch — that's right, my father is from Gambia!
From a young age I visited regularly because of my family, which gave me a strong connection with the country.
The idea started years ago when I shipped a Honda Transalp to Gambia and toured the country on it. It was a completely different experience from riding in the Netherlands. It reminded me of the Dakar Rally, which I used to watch with my father on TV. Hence the name: The Dakar Experience.
Over the years I built this up independently, with the goal of giving my guests a great time at an affordable price.
I'm open to improvements, comments or suggestions.
Maybe see you in Gambia!
Kind regards,
Frank Samateh
