Canoeing in the bolongs

The bolongs of the Sine Saloum are waterways winding through mangrove forest—sometimes wide and open, sometimes so narrow you push branches aside with your paddle. Canoe, kayak or SUP: you set the pace. No engine, no noise, no schedule. Storks, marabous and kingfishers at arm's length. The Sine Saloum is a UNESCO World Heritage site—this is the best way to understand it.
