Traditional pirogue through the bolongs. Quieter than a motorboat, lower to the water — you're right in it. The Sine Saloum is one of West Africa's richest birdwatching areas: flamingos, herons, cormorants, Goliath herons. Local guide included. One of the simplest and most beautiful activities of the entire expedition.
💡 Bring binoculars. The bolongs at low tide offer the best birdwatching.
